Make 5 questions related to the article and possible answer!

1. What are factors that affect the extinction of the animal population? Geography, human activity, and climate change.


2. How extinction of the animal population can impact the ecosystem? Extinction of the animal population can cause imbalance in the ecosystem. Imbalance in the ecosystem is when all biotic and abiotic components are not in the proper portion, both in quantity and role in the environment. This can causes a break in the food chain and possibly cause an massive increase of one population. If this happen, it will threaten human life.


3. What percentage of animals that have a population decrease? 48% from 71.000 animal species that author of journal “biological review” analyze on May 15.


4. Why animal population decline is more concentrated in the tropics compared to temperate regions? Because Tropical species live in some of the world's hottest environments, so it already at the upper limit of known temperature adaptation and tropical environments tend to be more stable throughout the year, so tropical species are adapted to a much narrower range of temperatures than their temperate counterparts.


5. What can we do to help animal extinction? There are many things that can we do to help animal extinction, for example follow the 3R rule (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle) and small little things like walk or riding a bike to the work can help to reduce pollution that is affect to living things.
